Crandon Raceway Should Be On Your Bucket List

You hear it all the time from both newbies and veterans of people who go to Crandon Raceway on Labor Day weekend for the world championships. “You need to go to Crandon once in your life.” One thing is certain, that you never hear someone come back from Crandon and say they didn’t have a good time, the racing was just eh, and that cheese curds aren’t gods gift to the earth. Crandon is Crandon, and words aren’t enough to put the experience of Crandon into perspective. When you get to Crandon and walk into the raceway you feel a sense of history hovering over your shoulder and you know just how important the track is to our sport. Your first time there, or if you go back year after year, that feeling is always there.

TORC In Crandon Gets Muddy

Nascar has Daytona, Formula 1 has Indy, and short course offroad racing has The Big House in Crandon. No other track has the rich history that Crandon does, and the amount of fans that show up haven’t been rivaled at any other track.

My Best Photos of 2010

2010 has been a great year for me and my family. My amazing wife Jamie and I have seen our son turn into a blob of a baby to a growing young man. Its crazy how fast time flies by and watching him grow up and being a parent with Jamie has been the best part of the year. I also turned 30 this year, celebrated our two year wedding anniversary, crashed my quad and broke a vertebrate, went to Kauai, and once again went to a lot of great locations to do what I love, photography.

Crandon Raceway – Tradition Never Dies

Crandon is the biggest race of the year for short course, some would even say for all offroad. The track is rich with history and tradition. The course worker you see in turn one was also there 5 years ago, as is the person grading the track, and working the ticket booth. While some series have a hard time finding volunteers to help put on the race, the track and Crandon have to turn people away.
