The Silty State 300

The BITD Silver State 300 is one of my favorite offroad races to shoot each year. Just 150 miles outside Las Vegas the race is centered around the old railroad town of Caliente Nevada. Some races you go to you may struggle to find a few good shooting spots but at this race the dilemma is always trying to narrow them down and deciding where to shoot. From water crossings, big silt beds, fast rally roads, forest sceneries and railroad bridges, its hard not to find a good spot to take photos from. But you have to do your homework.

LOORRS Breathes Fire Into Glen Helen

The Lucas Oil Offroad Racing Series (LOORRS) came back once again to Glen Helen for their annual night race. Glen Helen is always a fan favorite with full crowds and standing room only. The short tight track makes for some great battles where passing is hard to come by.

The 2013 SCORE Baja 500 Through My Eye

Shooting an offroad race down in Baja is always a great experience. The people are great and welcoming, and the atmosphere on race day is something you just don’t get in the states. This year the SCORE Baja 500 ran a few new sections that either hadn’t been run before, or weren’t used in quite some time, so I made sure to prerun as much as I could.

Over The Hump Race Series – 6.11.13

The Over The Hump Race Series is a great mountain bike race based out of Irvine Lake here in beautiful Southern California. If you live here and ride mountain bikes, you owe it to yourself to check out an event and get your feet wet racing. Its a great atmosphere where friendship and the love of riding take precedence over competition. You have your pro and expert riders who come out to win but the majority and core group are enthusiasts who use riding as an escape from the stresses of the daily grind.

20 Photos That Define The Mint 400

The Mint 400 is a great race filled with rich tradition and historic racing. While dormant for some time it has recently been brought back to life the past couple years and is now one of the most challenging offroad races in the states. Desert Offroad Racing is my favorite thing to shoot for many reasons. This past weekend I traveled to Las Vegas to cover The Mint 400, and here are 20 of my favorite photos from the weekends festivities.

2012 BITD Vegas To Reno

The BITD Vegas To Reno race is one of my favorite races of the year to cover. Between qualifying, scouting the course, and following the race from point to point, this event is always a good time. The race covers some great terrain over old landmark towns such as Goldfield, and being that is over 500 miles you get a chance to see lots of different aspects of the course. In past years I’ve covered from the start to about the halfway point and this year was no different.
